The Technical Ministry - Lace Making and Embroidery

The Technical Ministry, specializing in lace making and embroidery, is as old as the ICM Congregation, with a rich history spanning 128 years. Originating from the Infant Jesus Convent in Mulagumoodu, Tamil Nadu, it was born out of a need to support orphaned girls, providing them not only with shelter but also a means of livelihood. With the visionary leadership of Marie Louise, who brought lace-making skills and materials from Belgium, the ministry began as a simple craft aimed at supporting the orphans.
